The kitchen knife .... of insight

A woman was cutting veg at a retreat. She noticed how much effort she was putting into it, giving herself neck and shoulder pain. She suddenly realised this was how she approached all of life. Life as hard and requiring great effort.
The importance about this story is not that the woman can now cut vegetables easily, but that she saw it was about her whole approach to living.
Later when she was telling this to some friends, she was profoundly moved because she saw how innocently she had always been making things difficult for herself.
And also, that now she had the possibility of making a major change to her life.
